Last time I posted about the cross stitch I'm working on, it looked like this.
I've done more since; finishing off the orange/ yellow rose, finishing the zigzag Byzantine stitch in the back ground, and filling in the smaller spaces with different stitches.
Filling in around the other roses with Gobelin Filling stitch.
Filling the gaps between the windmills.
This is called Algerian Filling stitch.
Creating a chevron pattern in the background.
The cross stitch as it looks now.
It feels like I'm entering the home straight now, with just a bit more filling in, and a touch more work on the large pale rose to finish it off.
Thanks for having a look, and hope you enjoy!
This is awesome....seems like you need some real patience for this kind of art
