NINKASI BREWING COMPANY INTRODUCES CANS, JANUARY 2018

EUGENE, Ore.—Aug. 22, 2017—Ninkasi Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery based in Eugene, Ore., announces its introduction of cans, January 2018. Years in the making, the brewery will unveil three brands to 12-ounce cans across its distribution footprint early next year.

Founded in 2006 by Jamie Floyd and Nikos Ridge, Ninkasi continues to operate wholly from its home base of Eugene, Ore., earning the ranking of the thirty-third largest craft brewery in the United States (Brewers Association, 2017). Ninkasi first entered the craft beer scene with Total Domination IPA. The top-selling IPA in Oregon, Total Domination IPA was recently recognized by OregonLive as one of the 10 most influential IPAs in the state. Now, Ninkasi produces seven year-round Flagship Series beers: Total Domination IPA, Tricerahops Double IPA, Dawn of the Red IPA, Hop Cooler Citrus IPA, Pacific Rain Northwest Pale, Helles Belles Lager, and Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout.

“Since 2006, we have operated under a single core purpose: Perpetuate Better Living,” says Ninkasi CEO, Cheryl Collins. “The addition of cans allows us to carry this through to our fans who, just like us, want to enjoy our beer alongside whatever activity they choose; cans make that possible.”

Assuming the role of Ninkasi’s CEO in May 2017, Collins is excited to answer the call for cans. “We look forward to using this as an opportunity to craft innovative beers that satisfy the palates of our customers,” says Collins. “The convenience of cans is undeniable and now our fans can enjoy Ninkasi no matter where they choose to have a beer.”

Ninkasi cans are set to hit shelves January 2018 in select markets across the brewery’s distribution footprint.
