I first looked for a legitimate site where I could get information on how to mold latex.

My first idea was to make a bracelet. This is a simple form and not very complex. Besides, I don't use so much liquid latex and I can still experiment. I really want to do two-tone things. I like the colors running into each other and the goal of the first attempts will be to achieve that.

The pouring process is quite simple. I've only submerged it twice. Which is not enough in itself, but I wanted to get a feeling for it first. There are 4 rounds necessary or at least so often that no more light can shine through the latex.
(Protection masks are really important. Be familiar with the necessary security measures first.)

Result:

It's already quite good for the first try, but since there's not enough latex around the edge, it can easily tear. Therefore the mould must really be dipped 4 times to avoid this. Make sure that all edges and corners are rounded.

Entweder ich stelle auf eine elektrische Feinsäge um, oder ich muss mir anderes Material als Form besorgen. Aber für den ersten Test, ist es gut so, da nur die Ränder wirklich gerade sein müssen und oben und unten abgeschnitten wird.

Das Gießen wiederum ist recht einfach. Ich habe jetzt erst einmal nur zwei mal getaucht. Was an sich viel zu wenig ist, aber ich wollte erst einmal ein Gefühl dafür bekommen. Es sind 4 Durchgänge nötig oder zumindest so oft, dass kein Licht mehr durch das Latex scheinen kann.
(Atemschutzmaske ist wirklich wichtig. Macht euch zuerst mit den nötigen Sicherheitsmasnahmen vertraut.)

An sich schon mal ganz gut, aber da zu wenig Latex am Rand ist, kann es leicht reißen. Daher muss die Form wirklich 4 Mal eingetaucht werden um das zu vermeiden. Außerdme darauf achten, alle Kanten und Ecken gut abzurunden.
