No sew fluffy cushion

Easy peasy

I made this cushion for my first born over a decade ago.

It has fared pretty well.

The beauty is -

It required no sewing

For the little letter embellishment I did use a basic blanket stitch, but you can omit it or use fabric glue.

That's the beauty of felt

It doesn't require hemming.

Flash forward 10 years.

My second born is jealous.

Luckily we are hoarders and I still had the left over fabric.

Start by laying out both pieces

Cut out both pieces together in a circle

Or any shape you choose

If you are adding embellishment or patch, do it at this stage.

Cut the edge in a fringe about 2 to 3cms.

About an inch for those of you yet to embrace the metric system.
But don't worry too much.

Continue all the way around

About 5cm in length

Tie the corresponding pieces together

In double knots

Do this almost all the way around

When you are nearly finished
Fill it with cushion stuffing
Then finish tying up the last of the fringe

And there you have it!

Better than the original I think

Crafting made easy

Try it with the kiddies

They can do it themselves it is so simple

very nice cushion, looking forward for your next post! followed!

I will try this, my eldest Hazel will love it. I've also seen this method used to turn old t-shirts into useful bags.
