lets spread some light!

Yesterday, I woke up with my mom gone! She had sneaked out after her coffee to do some shopping! Seeing that I always sleep in because I go to bed around my 4 am she could not hold herself back! She came home with a new crafting project! Make your own lightbox! So, we did!





Everything was in the box! The wood for the lightbox, the lights, paper to decorate, and the special paper for the front! There was also some white paint and a brush BUT... We already know these kind of sets and we never use the paint ( Not enough and bad quality) and the brush is so cheap you don't even want to look at it! If you use it you will never get a nice result. So we grabbed our own brushes and used white Gesso paint!





We both started to paint all the wood white in several layers. This meant we had lots of time to chat while waiting for the paint to dry! In the box we also found all kind of colorful items you could use on the wood after making it white! My mom used them and I refused them! But you will see that later on in this post!





While waiting for the paint to dry, I started to work in the paper! One sheet I had to push up the butterfly wings and glue that one to the milky one! This piece was not the right size. So we had to cut it! Not that it matters but it said it was all done on the box! Naughty creators of the box! ((Shakes finger!)





When the paint was dry, We slammed to box together and yes we had to use FORCE! It was not fitting like it shouldddddddd! Bad bad box makers! ((Giggles)) We glued the paper in place and places the colorful lights in the box! I closed the box and so did my mom! She started to add some of the push out paper thingies and glued them against her box and felt sorry right away! I looked at my box and wondered why I would destroy it by adding more, For me, it already looked done! Plus, by being this white it would fit in my livingroom like a glove!





I am happy with the end result and it's standing in my room as we speak!
This little set costed us 2,74 euro per set! Including the light and wood that is again, nothing to sneeze at! The only thing you need to buy yourself are the batteries! I would suggest your own paint and brush as well! My mom bought this at the Action!
