When you realise you're a mum forever

I really don't have much to say

My head is in a spin

I've got too much to think about

I cannot keep it in

The days are often long ones

So I go jogging to keep slim (ba ha)

Inject those super powers

When my family all sleep in

The washing is all sorted

My studies are on hold

I need them back at school

To slay that essay mode

We're off to France at Easter

Good food and friends and wine (reverse order)

I love the Frenchy culture

And I'm sick of Brexit whines

But today I had a think

What have I really got to say

Without living off-grid

Steemit votes don't my way :)

I'm bored as hell in suburbia

But the kids are rooted in

I work at courts with witnesses

To help them score a win

So life is pretty tame for now

Until this job takes off

And legal whizz imma gonna be

Don't ask me why, just coz (long story)

If I can bimble through this

Then anybody can

The grind and toil of essays

And an imminent exam

My gal is out with daddy now

Shopping for big bro

Who's birthday is tomorrow

Balloons are set to blow -- and I have to stick loads up on the walls in threes and make a cake and wrap the pressie and I'm tired from gardening and my run and playing with Milly all day and dealing with mother, whilst worrying about my essay and prepping for two home witness visits in different towns on Wednesday, whilst my fella's mum and dad pick up my little girl... As it goes....

We bought him a new jumper

He searched the Net to find

A designer one, quite pricey

But then he changed his mind!!

Oh dear my rhymes are desperate ba ha ha ha

But my choccy cake ain't bad

I've been gardening all today

It's looking spic around the back

My eldest is in London

Strutting with his mates

No idea what plan he has

He's proper girly bait (god help us)

My mother dropped by earlier

Christ, she's a funny fish

Slowly going barking

But too stubborn to admit

Her exclusive self interest

Has made my life real hell

So I breathe and feel the light within

Seriously, just as well

Ok, they're back from shopping now

So I am finally heading out

I love my Steemit family

You rock, you dirty lout

(Because I'm tired my fella has made dinner, tacos with his rockamole)
