It is also important to remember that people have different ideas of what is fun. Maybe some of your friends are more interested in sports than in puzzles, while others are more interested in politics than in science. Try to come up with as many different types of game as you can. When you have a good number of ideas, prioritize them based on how easy it is to create, how easy/fun it is to play, how much you would get out of playing your game, and how much you can get your friends to like it (the last thing being the most important).
