Sometimes you are just lucky. Got back from a bike ride and saw Boris (or one of his relatives) paralyzing this small black beetle that had unfortunately flown into his web. Looks like a good dinner to me. I suspect he will wrap it up and keep it for later. These were quite tricky shots as he was looking downwards so I was trying to support the camera and diffuser in quite a tricky position. These are possibly my favourite spider captures. So nice to get him looking into the camera with the prey being injected with venom
