First Contact - Lightpainting using an office chair mat!

Good evening everyone and I hope life is good.

I had this idea whilst on my dinner at work a while back. I thought the interaction between the clarity of reality vs the diffused goodness of the fibers would work well.

My diffuser (office chair mat) is large enough to enable me to shoot full length so I plan to do one with Lauren on one side and Riley on the other in the future. The chair mat it held up by two clamps on light stands covering as much of the picture as possible. I go on one side and my girlfriend on the other.
I have a Beauty dish positioned above the mat and a snooted Yongnuo 560iv flashgun on the floor to light Laurens hand and arm. I fired the shutter which in turn fired the flashes then I wafted the www.lightpaintingbrushes.com black fibre optic brush gelled orange all around my hand. This gives the beautiful fiery effect.

I really enjoy getting my family involved with my light painting and for the most part I think they enjoy it too.
