Hi Steemit comunnity,
Here I am once more for the Crypto Art Challenge Round 6: Cardano Edition.

In this opportunity mi inspiration was a wall covered with “Azulejos” which is a form of Spanish and Portuguese painted tin-glazed ceramic tilework.

Azulejos are found on the interior and exterior of churches, palaces, ordinary houses, schools, and nowadays, restaurants, bars and even railways or subway stations. They were not only used as an ornamental art form, but also had a specific functional capacity like temperature control in homes.

My intention was to design kind of an “Azulejo mudéjar” (or hispano-morisco); this kind of azulejo was introduced to the Iberian Peninsula by Arabs, the pieces were characterized by de geometrical decoration of high density feeling all the space (phenomenon known as «horror vacui»).

Procees:

First, I use the Cardano logo as center piece of the design.

Later, I started to create kind of petals around the center. Using the structure of a star and the logo of Cardano as part of them.

Them, started to play around with the square figure to limit the azulejo´s size and shape.

After all these, once the design was finished, I started to play with the colors. The “azulejos” are characterized by having the colors product of the mineral oxide, so I try to only use this kind of colors.
