Task 2 | Scroll & Pick

Looking at the title, you must be wondering what kind of task is this? First I must say that being in Madam Wong's (our Creative Writing lecturer) class, you will be constantly amazed with her creativity in planning and delivering her lesson. So the class session started with some simple instructions from her. It sounded something like this, "Take out your phone and open your gallery. Close your eyes, scroll and stop. Open your eyes and look at the picture that you have picked. After that, write anything that you feel about the picture." I panicked a little at that time because I only had a few pictures in my gallery (23 pictures) so I went to scroll the photos that I had in my VSCO profile instead. I closed my eyes, scrolled and stopped. And, here is the lucky picture that my pointy finger has chosen:

So to write about what I feel when I look at this picture..

I took this picture somewhere in last August. I thought it was a cute picture, so I edited and posted it in my VSCO profile. Every time I see this picture, I can’t help but smile to the memory of this picture. So the story behind this picture was my little cousins- Efay and Addy, they were actually arguing over a ukulele and a guitar. There were two different musical instruments in front of them, but they seemed to love the ukulele more. So I told them to take turns and count until 10 for the next person to play the ukulele. It was cute to see them counting while waiting for their turn as well as it was adorable to see them trying so hard to strum the strings with their chubby fingers. Thank God that everything calmed down and no hair was pulled at the end of the day.
