Speaking of his father's life in China under Mao, "I became an artist because, under such pressure, my father still had somewhere nobody could touch. Even when the whole world was dark, there was something warm in his heart." -Ai Wei Wei
Every moment life presents us with an opportunity to create, to bring into being something which has never before existed. Listen deep. There is something in your soul that needs to be spoken; an assumption that needs challenging; a joy that needs exalting; a pain that needs to be seen in it's truth.
Sit still. Listen. Let go of judgement, of fear. You have permission to make something you never share with anyone else. It doesn't have to be big. It can be something as tiny as a secret toe-nail polish design, a hidden doodle on your skin, an unspoken line of poetry, a tiny melody. Anything that will remind you that you are poweful. You have been given the gift of creation. Take a moment of gratitude for that gift and then... use it.
