The Connection Between Creativity and Mental Illness

This was an excellent piece. When I was younger I took the IQ test and somewhere along the way I had heard there is an inverse correlation between how high the IQ score is to a person's sanity. You might be interested to see Johnathan Nash's (subject of A Beautiful Mind) thoughts about sanity. Changed my viewpoint on the subject.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback here. Over time I've come to agree with this -- that there's definitely a correlation between intelligence, creativity and certain forms of mental illness. I think there's a good argument you can make that people in this category are at least "chemically different." Ya -- loved Beautiful Mind -- and even quoted from Sylvia Nash's book about John Nash in my thesis paper: https://rightbrainworld.blogspot.com/2006/02/chaos-theory-self-organization-and.html. Thanks for the feature on the hidden gems blog!!
