BCKGRND

The events that inspired this post are my last trip to whole foods and the last show I watched on Netflix.

WHL FDS

My problem with Whole Foods (WF) started when I could barely afford to shop there. I walked in and almost proposed to the fruit displays. They were certifiable works of art. And there were so many things that were organic. With an occasional biodynamic item if you look hard enough.

They left samples at the ends of the aisles and could get away with having a meal without spending a dime.

A few trips to WF (more like WTF after seeing a receipt $100 higher than you planned for) and I realized this was an expensive habit that I had to quit cold turkey.

And I did. I quit for several months.

But I am back at it again. Trying to walk through the store with blinders so I can ignore the new delectable delights.

WF is like a beautiful girl you love, but can't be with because her tastes are too expensive. I mean, you can't take out a loan every time you go to the mall, damn it!

But this time I have a bulletproof plan!

I may have been exhausted from too many rounds of Overwatch, but yesterday I walked in with three bags and didn't bring a shopping cart. 🛒🔫

I shopped and started slowing down when my bags got too heavy. It is a simple plan. It is elegant and an easy way to keep that luxury supermarket bill in check.
