Easy Ikea Hack - Sunny lampshade

A super easy Ikea hack to turn a simple lamp shade into a sun!

I made a mobile for my son when he was born, with clouds and airplanes and a hot air ballon, super cute (more on that in the future) but I am not a big fan of hanging things above the baby crib and so i couldn't figure out where to hang it. In the end i decided the best place is under his light in the middle of the room and so i wanted the lampshade to somehow relate to the mobile.

I had this simple paper lampshade from Ikea at home

and so i took out some white and orange crayons and just drew lines on the paper lampshade (its harder then you think to draw with a white crayon on a white lampshade - you cant see the lines very well! )

and then i took out my water colours and painted the lampshade with orange, yellow and a bit of red.
because the crayons prevent the water colour from reaching the paper the results is a fiery sun!

underneath it I put the mobile and i think the combination is quite good :) what do you think?
