Cribs of Vilnius

With my friend organist we made little excursion of cribs in Vilnius. We visited 10 churches. I'd like to share with you what we saw

1st Vilniaus Švento Kryžiaus bažnyčia (Church of Saint Cross)

2nd Šventos Onos bažnyčia (Church of St Anne)

3rd Bernardinų bažnyčia (Church of Bernards). This cribs was the most exclusive because they used real living animals! 3 sheeps and 1 donkey. But those statues of hay look creepy for me...

This crib is made of honey cake. Strange that anyone ate it...

4th Šventų Jonų bažnyčia (Church of Sts Johns). This church is one of my favorites.

In this church Christmas tree was very beautiful for us

5th Vilniaus Šventosios Dvasios bažnyčia (Dominican Church of the Holy Spirit). In this church Mass is only in Polish.

6th Vilniaus Šv. Mikalojaus bažnyčia (Church of Saint Nicholas). Figures are made of wood.

7th Vilniaus Visų Šventųjų bažnyčia (Church of All Saints)

8th Švenčiausiosios Mergelės Marijos Ramintojos bažnyčia. There works one of the most popular priests Algirdas Toliatas. He wrote 5 books! This church has 3 floors. During Soviet time it was storage. And they made partitions. In first floor there is little reading room. In second floor there is a sacristy and a room where after Mass on Sunday they make Agape - they share a food. Organist finally realised why there are so many people in Mass of Sunday (they go to eat for free 🤭). And in third floor there is a chapel. There we found this cribs. Personally I don't like it.

9th Vilniaus Švč. Mergelės Marijos Nekaltojo Prasidėjimo bažnyčia (Church of Immaculate Conception of Holy Virgin Mary)

I'm interested is tradition to make cribs in churches in other countries
