ABU DHABI: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets on Thursday to go 1-0 up in the three-match T20 series.
Hassan Ali once again lived up to the expectations as he took three wickets to trouble the Sri Lankan batting order and help Pakistan restrict them to 102 runs.
Pakistani openers did not impress much with Fakhar Zaman getting out cheaply. Shoaib Malik's 42 not out was an impressive innings and along with Mohammad Hafeez's 25, the green shirts cruised to a seven-wicket victory.
The two sides will meet again at the same venue on Friday before clashing for a last time in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday, October 29.
