The schedule of Tata ipl IPL 2022 has been announced by BCCI. The 15th edition of Indian Premier begins on March 26. Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings will lock horns in the opening game at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
A total of 10 teams will be part of Tata ipl . Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are the two new teams that have been added to the tournament. Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the other teams.
A total of 74 matches will take place in IPL 2022 including the playoffs and the final. Every team is bound to play 14 matches during the league stage. The tournament will commence on March 26 and the final will be played on May 29.
Due to the addition of 10 teams, a mega auction was also conducted ahead of the tournament. A total of 204 players were bought during the auction. Hence, all the teams have also witnessed a lot of changes in their squads for IPL 2022.
