LATA MANGESHKAR GIFTED TO INDIAN CRICKET TEAM...

After the big win World Cup 1983, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was thinking of honoring the players of the team and giving big “AWARDS” but the problem was that he did not have much money. The game of cricket was not taken professionally by that time and at that time the BCCI was not much money. Then the singer of India Smt Lata Mangeshkar came forward to help the BCCI and the players in this manner.

Indian cricket can be considered as the milestone on the date of June 25, 1983. The Indian team won the World Cup which is held in England in 1983 and defeating the West Indies. Kapil Dev's had done this work, which nobody at that time had imagined. When the Indian cricket team reached England to play this World Cup, they were being considered very weak, but after winning the match, the Indian team's performance touched the height.

In the finals, India had a match against West Indies team. The West Indies team at that time was very strong and it was the same champion in both the World Cup held in 1975 and 1979. In this way, everyone was ending India's campaign in the final but Kapil Dev's made the impossible, possible for the Indians to win. Chasing a small score of 183 runs made by the Indian team, the West Indies had suffered a lot and it was 140 runs away. This victory of 1983 proved not only to change the status and direction of cricket. By that time the players did not get much money in the country, but this victory changed the whole picture.

After this big victory, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was thinking about honoring the players of the team and giving big "AWARDS" but the problem was that he did not have much money. Then the great singer of India Smt Lata Mangeshkar came forward to help the BCCI and the players in this manner. In order to raise funds for the players' economic award, then the BCCI president NKP Salve urged Lata Ji to organize a concert. Lata Mangeshkar, who loves cricket very quickly, got ready for it. This program was organized in the capital city of Delhi A sum of about 20 lakh rupees was collected from this program which was awarded to the players of the Indian team as a prize. It will be said that the greatness of Lataji is that he did this program for the free BCCI. World Cup champion Lataji is a special gift to the Indian cricket team.
