This is Adnan and Hae Min Lee back in 1999. Both were popular kids in high school. 17 years old. They dated and then broke up. Like you do! Normal teenage stuff. They stayed friends. Then one day Hae Min Lee went missing after school. She was meant to collect her niece from school but never turned up. This was not like her and the alarm was raised immediately. A short time later her body was found in Leaking Park. 6 weeks later Adnan was arrested for the murder of Hae and subsequently was found guilty of murder. He is currently serving a life sentence. But the big question is ... did he do it?
There was no physical evidence that Adnan murdered Hae. There was a key witness called Jae Wilds who claimed that Adnan asked him to help bury her body. Cell phone tower evidence backed up Jay’s story to where Adnan’s mobile phone was on the day. But surely that wasn’t enough to convict him . Well apparently is was!

Queue Asia McLean . She was a potential alibi that put Adnan in the library around the time of the murder. She claims she spoke with him for around 29 minutes but she was never called by the defence team. This was the basis for Adnans appeal claiming his lawyer was not healthy when she defended the case (She died soon after). How she could forget to call a witness like Asia is a mystery. I strongly recommend you listen to the serial podcasts to get the full knowledge on what happened the day of the murder.

So I ask the question? What did you do on the 1st July this year? I couldn’t really tell you to be honest. Probably went to work or if I was off I took my daughter to park . Walked the dog etc. Maybe I did , maybe I didn’t . Can’t really confirm. This is what was asked of Adnan. Ok I get this side of it. But if your very recent ex went missing would that day become a day you would remember ? I think so! I knew where exactly I was for 9/11 etc. Surely a life changer like that day would jog your memory. Another point also is he never pages her to ask her is she alright?i found this a bit strange for a guy not guilty.

My wife thinks he is completely innocent but I’m not sure. There are too many coincidences. Just too many. He is officially the unluckiest man in the world if he didn’t do it. He comes across well in the serial tapes but in my opinion there’s someone not telling the truth. It’s a puzzler .

Sarah Koenig’s Work on Serial has made the case viral and . Reports this week is that the case is going to be retrialed. This is excellent news and many people are happy but there’s something fishy about this one. I really hope he is innocent because he sounds like a nice fella but There is just that thing boggling away at me to say something happened and he was involved . I don’t know? What are the steemit s thoughts?

It all looks really fishy. Let's hope truth prevails... Nothing more saddening than an innocent man in jail

Yes I agree.

Hmmmm. Well I really don't want to have a personal opinion on this so I guess I'll let a retrial run its course

Have you listening to podcast??

Like you I know where I was on 9/11 and it was a long time ago. Weird how things remain in your head. Haven't watched this so have no idea. If he was found guilty and needs a retrial then good for him if he is innocent. I am all for the death penalty on the ones that are 100 percenters. The prisons are too full and our systems are too soft.

There are 13 podcasts. About 40 minutes long. Great with driving. Excellent series. My wife got me into them. Interested to hear peoples opinions . Everyone I know thinks he’s a 100% innocent but I’m not sure z

Morning mate. Well I'll have a listen to the podcast later, but having been involved in private security work for many years I have two opinions. One, they never investigate enough as it costs money, but what about the cost to the person who goes to jail innocent? Two is that the investigators are too soft on the accused and potential witnesses and or anyone carrying knowledge. Sadly no one hiding the truth wants to part with it willingly. There are lose ends here for sure
