Angry over lack of biscuits in her order, woman drives car through entrance of Popeye's

I think we have all experienced road rage at one point in our lives or another but this is a different kind of crazy. When I go through a drive-through at a fast-food restaurant, I do get a little bit peeved when it turns out my order is wrong. Somehow though, I manage to keep a level head and park my car and then go inside and politely point out the mistake to the staff who will always correct the mistake and usually will give you something else for free as an apology for the inconvenience.

This is not how Belinda Miller decided to handle the situation when her combo order was devoid of biscuits at Popeye's, which are actually really delicious.

Belinda was so upset that she didn't get her biscuits that he thought it would be a good idea to ram her Rav-4 through the entrance of the building, which could have killed one of the minimum wage workers that was currently cleaning the windows.

She then fled the scene, as most dopey criminals would do, even though places like Popeye's Chicken has CCTV's basically encircling the entire premises. She was easily found and charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. She could do time for this and honestly, I think she should. Not necessarily a lot of time in jail but we can't just have people like this feeling as though rage of this sort is a good solution to anything.

As if this story wasn't dumb enough already, this is not Miller's first offense related to chaos with a vehicle. In 2020 she rammed the same car into the side of an apartment building to get the attention of an estranged boyfriend. When the first collision didn't get the desired result, she backed up her car and rammed the building a second time. In another instance, allegedly involving the same man, she grabbed the steering wheel of the car he was driving and forced it off the road into a ditch. She was charged and convicted of both of these charges, but was only ever put on probation.

Which brings me to another point: What is the point of probation when violating said probation - which in her case almost certainly involved basically not being allowed to ram things with vehicles - doesn't seem to have any consequences? I'm not saying that everyone should be in prison because the United States already has a very big problem with this but there needs to be more punishment than just "hey, don't do that anymore... you are free to go."

At the minimum she should have her license revoked for a while and maybe do like 10 days in jail, just to let her know that the system isn't going to just allow her to act like a looney tune any time things don't go exactly the way that she wants it to. Ramming your car into a fast food restaurant because they forgot your biscuits? That's the work of a crazy person folks.
