LUCAS
(acting nervous)
No way, Carlos. I'm loyal to the core. I just need a bigger score, you know? I'm tired of these small-time jobs.
CARLOS
(studying Lucas)
Alright, we might have something for you. But you better prove your worth, or you're done.
INT. POLICE STATION - INTERROGATION ROOM - DAY
Lucas sits across from a beaten and bloodied suspect, VINCE, a low-ranking member of the Malloy gang.
LUCAS
(intense)
You're gonna tell me everything about the weapons shipment. And don't bother lying. I know more than you think.
VINCE
(defiant)
You can't touch me, pig. The Malloy family has eyes everywhere.
LUCAS
(smiling)
Well, Vince, here's the thing. I'm not just any pig. I'm the one who's gonna bring them down.
EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT
Lucas and Jessica stake out a rundown apartment building, observing a meeting taking place inside.
JESSICA
(whispering)
This is it, Lucas. The big fish is inside. We have to move carefully.
LUCAS
(nods)
I've got backup on standby. Let's make sure they don't escape this time.
INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT
Lucas and Jessica burst into the apartment, guns drawn. They find the Malloy gang members, including CARLOS and their leader, RYAN MALLOY.
LUCAS
(firmly)
Drop your weapons! You're all under arrest.
RYAN MALLOY
(laughing)
You really think you can take us down, Detective? You're playing a dangerous game.
A fierce gunfight erupts as Lucas, Jessica, and their backup exchange fire with the gang members. After a brutal struggle, the Malloy gang is apprehended.

Ryan Malloy sits across from Lucas, his eyes filled with anger and defeat.
RYAN MALLOY
(gritting his teeth)
You may have caught us, but you haven't won, Detective. We have allies. Powerful allies.
LUCAS
(smiling)
We'll see about that, Ryan. The only loyalty that matters is the truth. And it's time for it to prevail.
