There are two horrifying cases of prosecutors lying to juries over the last couple of months: one with a correct outcome and one with a bad one.
The prosecutor of the Rittenhouse trial lied to the jury by saying that if you brought the gun into a situation you lose the right to claim self-defense. That's wrong in every state in the country. Thankfully the jury didn't buy it and Rittenhouse was rightfully acquitted.
In the Kim Potter trial the prosecution told the jury that conscience disregard of the dangerous situation created wasn't necessary for a conviction in regard to manslaughter charges and the judge didn't correct them. That's also a lie. The jury incorrectly found Potter guilty because of that lie.
