ÚN.- Matt Reeves, quien reemplazó a Ben Affleck para dirigir la próxima película, afirmó que comenzará desde cero con el guión, y que no usará nada de lo había hecho hasta ahora el actor.
Reeves agregó que se siente “emocionado” de poder darle un nuevo y refrescante inicio al proyecto “The Batman” el cual podría ser el título tentativo del próximo filme del superhéroe de DC Cómics.
“Es una nueva historia. Estamos comenzando nuevamente, estoy muy emocionado al respecto”, dijo el cineasta, que quiere darle a Batman un toque “noir”. “Pienso que va a estar muy buena”, agregó.
A fines de enero pasado, Affleck dijo “basta” y decidió no dirigir la nueva versión del superhéroe, aunque sí tendrá el protagónico, en el doble papel de Bruce Wayne y el hombre murciélago.
“Hay ciertos personajes que tienen un lugar especial en los corazones de millones; interpretar este rol demanda estar enfocado, apasionado y entregar la mejor actuación que pueda dar“, dijo Affleck, de 44 años, en aquel momento mediante un comunicado a Entertainment Weekly.
“Queda claro que no puedo hacer los dos trabajos en el nivel que requiere”, se disculpó la estrella, que interpretó por primera vez al superhéroe en Batman v. Superman.
Affleck recordó que había estado trabajando hasta ese momento en el guión junto con otros guionistas, Chris Terrio y Geoff Johns.
El nuevo director, Matt Reeves, por su parte, estrena la próxima semana su nueva película, War for The Planet of The Apes.
