The U.S. Economy the Government and Media Should Portray

As the average American is distracted with their busy lives few actually know what is taking place in the economy. Currently we are being told the unemployment rate sits at 4.9 %. While that seems great most Americans know it is hard to find anything other than a part-time job or worry of being laid off from their current job. So I question why would we be lied to, I understand a mass panic would not help but it seems there is more to it. I have put together some charts explaining my stance on the economy, although my beliefs may be completely wrong it just may help others understand our current situation.

Estimate of People of All Ages in Poverty for United States

 Natural Rate of Unemployment

Civilian Labor Force Participation Rate: Men

The picture they paint doesn't seem to represent the real world but why? As the war on the middle class continues more and more people become dependent on the government. This seems like a worsening effect of socialism which puts us on track like Venezuela. I do believe helicopter money could be the next way they provide stimulus. But as we remember the great recession they bailed out the banks and things are worse. This is like giving drugs to a drug addict and expecting a full recovery. This also devalues the dollar and somewhat reminds of what happened to the Zimbabwean dollar. Are only hope seems to be in the hands of our corrupt political system. OK enough of the negative I still believe there's hope within the people who become more knowledgeable about our current situation. Becoming more self sufficient is key to helping yourself and family while not being so dependent on big corporations as well as government.
