A few days ago, the 47th General Assembly of the OAS culminated. And among the various Urgent points that they had besides the lack and disrespect human rights in the continent, there was the decision making on the economic, social, political situation, etc. that exists in Venezuela (as if it were the only country that lives a crisis and even more in America) and was so important for these members of this body (defined as foreign ministers) to decide on two proposals that would not really bring about any change.

Of the proposal that obtained the most support was the so-called "contact group" which Mexico promoted along with other delegations and proposed to mediate a pact between the government and the opposition in Venezuela, which only had 20 votes of 23 required .

The other proposals were only let them solve their problems or we get to invade.

But it is when one asks, and what happens to the crises that are in other countries like Colombia, Chile, that there are university protests?, Haiti that lives in extreme poverty, and is suffering from various natural disasters?, the paramilitary and poster wars that occur in Mexico? and the hundreds of forced disappearances, among others and others that occur in all America and the world? (of course the OAS is only of America ... "North America")

At the end of this, one is questioning, What is the real function of the OAS that really made a significant change to the political, economic or food problems or situations, etc. that exist on the American continent? What tools does this organization have to solve these problems? And most important, what are the fundamental principles by which they are interested in the problematic existing in a specific country?

This only leads us to more doubts without answers, and only generates more uncertainty about their real functioning or that they actually do, it seems that it was only a rentier company of consultation (but without solutions), where countries pay and have representatives that the maximum they do is insult each other and the maximum penalty that generates the OAS is to expel the country, is to say the spoiled child of the block, "if it is not as I say, it is not"

How much must happen in a country for this organization to take real action, that the deaths of hundreds of people, the end of natural resources, displacement and enforced disappearances are not enough to react

Or, in fact, it only matters that so much can offer a country to the world economy to decide to invade it, to rob it and then to say like the boy of the show “El Chavo del 8”: "is that they do not have me patience"
