Now that it is certain that clubs like Barcelona and Manchester city are out of the competition, the remaining clubs left in the competition for certain are Roma and Liverpool. Come to think of it that the remaining two slot has already been occupied by Real Madrid and probably Sevilla/Bayern Munich. At the semifinal we should have the following clubs left:
(1) Liverpool
(2) Roma
(3) BayernMunich/Sevilla
(4) Real Madrird/Juventus
I am certain that Real Madrid will go through if you look at head to head between this two team. R. Madrid has superior rating and more or less R. Madrid has away 3 goals advantage that if Juventus is to qualify they would have to score four goals without R.Madrid scoring at Bernabeu or Juventus must score three goals during the normal time then the two team heads to penalty after extra time with Juventus winning. The probability of this happening is very low. R.Madrid is the club to move to the next stage of the competition.
The question is why R. Madrid is favourite to reatin champions leageue?
- The team is made of quality except the keeper who is not that bad. when you look at the first eleven of madrid and their bench then juxtapose with teams left you will appreciate the quality in the team.
- Champions league is the only available cup left for R. Madrid this season. It is either win champions league or go back empty handed this season.When you look at R. Madrid team , you will see alot of guys that won't like to go home empty
- Experience! Experience!! Experience!!!........................You can say that again, R. Madrid players have won together nothing less than two champions league together. If you put that in perspective with other clubs you will understand better. Come to think of it............When last did liverpool win champions league??? Has Sevilla and Roma ever won champions league before?? Even the almighty Bayern Munich, when last did Bayern win champions league??????
