DIY - My method to create a beautiful cross stitch without spending money

Hello, often happens that you want to start a new cross stitch but you don't have a ready kit to create it. You lack the right wires, the canvas, a pattern to follow but you nevertheless want to create your own small piece of art.
How to proceed? Here is my method:
Go into the attic, look between the old sheets or the old curtains and try to find a piece of fabric with an uniform color and with a not too narrow mesh that lets you see through the space between the threads.
Then go look for few pieces of wire that you do not use or that advanced by past cross stitch work.
Now you just have to find a pattern (better a simple one). Look out for Amazon or Aliexpress the pattern you like, click on the picture that is most of the times always HD, download it on your computer and zoom on it to see the individual stitches.
At this point, try to adapt the threads you found to the patterns. Follow the seams and the colors carefully zooming the image as much as possible.
