The gaming metaverse Cross The Ages (CTA) has closed a seed round of funding in the amount of $ 12 million. ForkLog was told about this in the project's press service.

Investors included the operator of blockchain games Animoca Brands, the Polygon platform, the developer and publisher of video games Ubisoft, as well as the co-founder of The Sandbox metaverse Sebastian Borge and others.

STA is a collectible card game for mobile devices in the metaverse, which takes place in a dystopian world based on fantasy novels.

The creators of the project pay special attention to the plot. 13 writers worked on the first book of Artellium. In total, the team consists of more than 140 people, of which about half are artists from all over the world.

The launch of the beta version of the CTA is scheduled for the end of May 2022. Digital and physical cards will appear in June. Contests for the right to be among the first 20,000 players have begun on social networks.

Recall that the company behind the NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club Yuga Labs has raised $ 450 million to create its own metaverse Otherside.
