Who are the developers of the free Steem-related tools that you use? Here's an easy way to say "Thank you!"
What is "Developer Delegation Day"? The idea is to create a low-risk opportunity for crowd-sourced support of development in the Steem ecosystem. I introduced the notion, here, where the idea was encapsulated like this:
On the 5th of each month, community members will delegate 5 STEEM Power (SP) to a Steem developer of their choice. This regular support helps sustain and incentivize the developers who will become the backbone of the Steem ecosystem.
That was in August, so the first DDD happened on September 5. Today, Oct. 5, is the 2nd DDD. (Technically speaking, today is still only the 4th in the US, but it's after 0000 GMT, so I'm counting it as the 5th😉.)
Last month, for the first monthly developer delegation day, I delegated 5 SP to 4 recipients. Here are the existing delegations (from @remlaps-pb):
Developer Account | Last Delegation Date | Last Delegation Amount | Current Total |
---|---|---|---|
@awitness | 2024-09-05 | 5 SP | 5.011 SP |
@moecki | 2024-09-05 | 5 SP | 5.011 SP |
@steemchiller | 2024-09-05 | 5 SP | 5.011 SP |
@the-gorilla | 2024-09-05 | 5 SP | 5.011 SP |
This month, I'm repeating three of the delegations, and adding a new one. The repeated delegations go to moecki, steemchiller, and the-gorilla. The new delegation will go to @michelangelo3. Briefly, here are the reasons behind the delegation decisions:
awitness
- I'm waiting to see if he/she reappears after making a powerful introduction, but then going dark. I'm not withdrawing my delegation at this point, but I'm not repeating it unless/until we see some activity.
michelangelo3 (new this month)
- Provides this Steem Search Utility
- Recently created a page with Steem's tag usage information, here.
moecki
- Runs a very reliable public API with more plugins than are available from many other API endpoints in the ecosystem.
- Runs an alternate condenser site
- Makes many valuable contributions to online discussions about Steem development and also to open source repos.
steemchiller
- Runs steemworld.org and the SDS api
the-gorilla
- Runs an alternate Steem front end and is modernizing condenser for use by steemit.com and other Steem front-ends.
- Contributes much time and effort to abuse fighting
- Provides the club status tool
After this month's delegations,
here's the updated summary table:
Developer Account | Last Delegation Date | Last Delegation Amount | Current Total |
---|---|---|---|
@awitness | 2024-09-05 | 5 SP | 5.011 SP |
@michelangelo3 | 2024-10-05 | 5 SP | 5 SP |
@moecki | 2024-10-05 | 5 SP | 10.011 SP |
@steemchiller | 2024-10-05 | 5 SP | 10.011 SP |
@the-gorilla | 2024-10-05 | 5 SP | 10.011 SP |
