Food accessibility in Northern Climates

Our hypothesis for the summer: A 4.5-meter-diameter greenhouse can be designed to supply a family (of 4 adults) with at least 50% of their food requirements, year round, and requires less than 3 hours of maintenance (garden care, harvest) per week.

Will we be able to test our findings this summer? Our only obstacle is financial. The completion of this project depends on the generosity of the people that support it. $1 - $14 CAD: Backers will receive a personalized thank you note.

$15 - $24 CAD: Backers will receive a private tour of our gardens in addition to a small vegetable basket.

$25 - $40 CAD: Backers will receive a private tour of our gardens in addition to a big vegetable basket.

$50 - $99: Backers will receive a semi-personalized design (based on your diet & land) for their own home garden.

$100 - $199: 2 hours of consulting: Permaculture Design & Self-sustainability and a personalized concept plan for a garden

$200 - $400 CAD: Backers will receive 10 hours of Permaculture Consulting to design a detailed concept plan for your garden space to feed your family this summer.

$250 - $409 CAD: Backers (local only) will receive weekly vegetable baskets the whole season! That is 16 weeks worth of food that will yield from our experiment for 1-2 adults.

$410 - $550 CAD: Backers (local only) will receive weekly vegetable baskets (for 3-4 adults) for the whole season (16 weeks).

$1,000+: The first three backers who support us will receive, upon completion of the project, a detailed plan for a custom-designed self-sufficient greenhouse; including a detailed plan for the permaculture forest garden specifically designed to fulfill their very own food needs and land characteristics.
