Can't make grape jelly without purple grapes. Ok, now the word grape is starting to look weird.

    Fun fact: The type of grapes typically used for grape jelly (concord grapes) aren't usually sold for eating because they're so seedy. If I hadn't interpreted the question as which type I'd rather eat, I would have answered purple too, as I like grape flavor (the concord grapes used in jelly, juice, etc) better than the flavor of actual grapes.
