Bullfighting , the gruesome torture that still continues

Torture of any animal should be illegal , but sadly still in the 21st century "cultures" like bullfighting still goes on.
In Spain it's legal everywhere apart from Catalonia(purple) and the Canary Islands(blue)
Many young Spanish people are starting to fight against it and hopefully fight for a complete ban, there's many organizations like PACMA , a political party that fights for animal rights , this party promotes the prohibition of bullfighting , the withdrawal of the public money that subsidizes bullfighting , a ban on broadcasting bullfighting on television. Their fight has had a positive impact each year there's less people going to the bull ring.

Apart from the torture in the bull ring there's many other "traditions"
"Toro de la Vega" is an event celebrated in a town called Tordesillas in Valladolid , it consists of chasing the bull down the streets and trying to stab the bull as it runs frightened and for its life , they then lead it to an open space where they finally kill it.
"San Fermín" is another event celebrated in Pamplona , in this event people run in front of the bull , this event is a week long and one of the most famous in Spain (unfortunately) over 1 million people come to participate in this event.
But with the government supporting and subsidizing this gruesome torture giving them over 500M€ a year , sadly it looks like it's here to stay. There has been many protests all over Spain with the aim to get their message out. Many of them have entered the bull ring with banners hoping to spread the word.

A lot of people like bullfighting due to their family descendants and their point of view , most of them have a right wing ideology and have been voting the PP (partido popular , the conservative party) for many years. And it's not the childrens fault , if that's what they see from a young age they think that is normal. But many people are turning against this violent act and starting to understand that the bull and every animal have feelings.

Hopefully in the near future bullfighting and many other tortures will be banned forever. Apparently we are the most advanced race on the planet , but the gruesome acts we commit sometimes makes me think twice about that...
