Hello,
I am by no means a vegetarian. I do love animals tho and I can't see them hurting. Not for beauty industry or household. There are other ways.
I am a visual person, and someone posted a link about how animal testing is being done. I was horrified. I immediately made the change to my ENTIRE household , not just my beauty routine. I mean these animals are being immobilized and tortured. For example- bunnies are being tied four rods, they stick a metal thing in their mouth and then they pour shampoo or whatever else in their eye and wait to see what happens to their eyes, retina etc. I wanna cry just thinking about it. And that is just one of their methods. Why should a little bunny suffer such horrors, just so that they know how my shampoo will affect my eyes in case it got in. It's preposterous. THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES METHODS.
So , I chose to switch. I go to great lengths to make sure the products I buy are cruelty free. Even the baking soda I buy it comes from a cruelty free company. Sometimes it's harder for me to get certain products- for example if I were to but tissue for when my nose is running or such- my go to would be whatever is on sale at the store and although those companies are testing on animals, I hope that that tissue was not tested on animals. So I shop around companies that don't test and products that are not being tested. It's not easy but I will do it because it makes me feel better to not be part of animal testing industry.
Well, maybe then you will ask your self- what about the fact that you are not vegetarian and the meat you eat comes from a slaughter house?
Well-I am working on it. I feel like those animals are raised for that purpose. I don't agree with how they are treated so I buy cage free eggs, I buy chicken that was free range, I don't really eat beef so I make all sorts of conscious choices to reduce the impact on these animals.
I believe that if we all came together and made small changes , then we would have a better world, less cruel. These companies that test on animals- DO HAVE ALTERNATIVES. Also, you don't have to make the changes as drastic as I did- and go cruelty free over night ( I did) but you can make small changes every month.
I encourage you to do so- so this month buy a detergent, a toot paste or ANYTHING you want that is cruelty free. I feel so much better by not being a part of this. If you want websites and are looking for certain product you want to switch - I have lists and web sites and I can send them you. I would be so glad to help.
Thank you,
Diana

Yes certainly. Go to https://www.crueltyfreeinternational.org/, http://www.crueltyfreekitty.com/start-here/ and you can see what companies and products are / are not safe, or simply look for the logo on the product and see if it says "Not tested on animals"- usually there's a bunny or some kind of logo that states that the product is cruelty free. If you are unsure just go onto the company site and see at " About Us" section what they say. It is rare when a company IS cruelty free that they won't post that on their product. Majority of products ARE being tested -such as anything made by P&G, Unilever, all these big ones- but there are a lot of options for cruelty free. Please let me know if you are looking for a specific product that is cruelty free or whatever other questions you might have, I'd be glad to assist if it meant you making changes to your routine and make other conscious about this as well. We can do this, right?

I can't watch any of these things. I cant even watch Animal Planet where animals kill each other in their natural state under the law of nature.
