Peers thought me crazy, when I suggested Bitcoin would reach $10,000; however, this isn't a 'I told you so' article. Besides, no one ever thought that with a blink of an eye - the unstoppable asset would then surge to twice this fanciful estimation.
If you can remember an age before emails, an era prior to the internet itself - then you have a firm grasp of what a modern-day revolution looks like. I honestly can not recall the last time I posted a letter, or was in a location were mobile / wifi wasn't available. These cyber innovations have quicken the pace of communication, opened multiple doors for exploration, connected people the world over, and I conceive online currencies will remove many more social and financial obstacles.
From a two dimensional perspective, many onlookers of the Crypto-Revolution see Bitcoin, Ethereum and many other coins as money. An online means by which to purchase goods, others view Crypto-Technology as a means to obtain money i.e. shares, or contracts etc.. But Crypto-Currencies also possess multiple dimensions and can serve numerous roles - outside the realms of acquisition.
The true function of money, whether it be in the form of bonds, shares, fiat or even derivatives, is to convey information. Who owns/owes what and to whom. This acquisition of wealth / information has (wrongly or rightly) led money to become a status symbol; whereas people are judged on their net-worth, rather than the weight of their persona. Those with unlimited wealth and information are able to monopolize entire countries, oppress generations of people and socially engineer each class to unwittingly redirect more wealth to them.
Then materializes a technology that emancipates the global financial constrains of the peoples of the world, which exists outside governance, able to present information securely / seamlessly without prejudice. So those individuals who's faces never fitted in, the class of workers who would have never realize their true value, plus the incalculable information / wealth stolen or lost over countless generations - this can now be brought into balance presented as wealth / knowledge / information; enough for all!
I'm currently assisting one such venture, operating in the Philippines that seeks to liberate oppressed, unpaid and under valued farmers - with the use of this technology. The KROPS platform (in it's rudimentary stages) allows farmers to sell their produce directly to buyers, cutting out the middleman, which ultimately raises their standard of living. The ICO initially centers around the shares of the company, where even the impoverished layman can own a piece of the company; however, plans are being borne-out to include the coin in the sales process via mobile communication devices.
Ultimately, this venture / social experiment / ICO / call if what you will, will hopefully mark the end to social engineering, top-down economies and empower a new generation of people to obtain wealth / information on a fair and balance playing field.
