Syscoin Blockmarket 3.0 Short Review

in crypto-ecommerce •  7 years ago  (edited)

bm3-1.jpgIf you were using 1.2.3 or lower of the Syscoin Blockmarket (BM) you'll have to generate a "sys2dump.bmwalletdump" file from your BM to update your coins over to Syscoin 3.0.

Overall the BM 3.0 is a minor update GUI wise but was needed to work with the new Syscoin 3.0 Protocol. Visually there are more menus and the aliases are slightly different as you can add more details to them. Now you must fund your aliases if you upgrade them or add listings with them.

Syscoin is a Segwit coin and now keeps some information off-chain while the transactions themselves are still on-chain.

BM is a blockchain powered marketplace but lacks the extra details that OpenBazaar 2.0 (OB2) has. I find the BM listings to be rather short then verbose like OB2. Also I can't seem to be able to delete BM 3 Listings by setting quantity to zero.

BM needs to allow more listing details by loading them off-chain. The preset categories seems like a good idea to streamline category consistency.

Syscoin currency itself works great inside BM app. You can send coins to and from aliases and it's done within 4 minutes or less.bm3-2.jpgbm3-3.jpg
