What Are The Top 3 Alternatives To Ethereum?

in crypto-news •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hey Guys, Champagne Crypto here, thanks for tuning. Today I want to talk about some alternatives to Ethereum. Ethereum was once again called into question when QuadrigaCX ICO lost $13,000,000 in ETH reminding some of the DAO debacle that originally spilt the Ethereum community.

This post on Reddit lead me to question Ethereum and to research some alternative blockchain platforms that allow users to deploy smart contracts:

Will Ethereum Foundation "rollback" or "hard fork" to recover the QuadrigaCX $13,000,000 - lost due to buggy code error?

EOS, Ubiq, Agoras

Is that your bet, g-k? I'm unfamiliar with the two last.

EOS is definitely a one to look out for

Does anyone know the reason for the lisk pump?

I have some lisk in case it is an Ethereum killer.

Its good to keep a spare tire in the trunk! BOOM!

I have had a hell of a ride with factom. Frikken beautiful. Got in a little late but whatever.

A complete BOOM @funkit! Congrats!

Stratis is interesting to me, though as a non-programmer I'm not so sure just how important the C+ angle is

Not sure either but people like options.

There are a lot of applications built via C#. I think that's the point why stratis can become very important relating to integration cost reductions.

EOS is being touted as being an improvement of Ethereum. I'll be watching closely as this one hits the market.

NEM is a good one, Catapult could release any moment. ETC still has some room to grow. Expanse is a smaller cap based of ethereum that might double up again.

have you bought nem and if yes where are keeping it?

Thanks for your input @cyberblock Never heard of Expanse will check it out.

Good thoughts, I bought lisk last week(@1.05) and the wallet is the easiest wallet ever, nice little blue crystal icon on my desktop, I've added some NEM and PIVX, I will attempt their off-line wallets too.

These things isn't mainly meant to be used as a currency, so how easy to use their wallet is isn't really the metric when comparing DApp platforms.

I never stop learning with all these interesting posts.

Thanks for tuning in eagleye!

Some new coins to learn about in June ! Thank's.
What about VIVAco.in, bts, ecobits ?

I personally love Ecobits. The idea has a lot of potential and I would invest into any executable idea if it has to do with clean environment. I am already invested in Ecobits. You will also get a referral link to animate your colleagues to join (which is practice with nearly every ICO).

Good pick indeed, however I think that Steem will be better than most of them by end of next year . Do not forget NEM which is a good one too...however, good post and thanks for sharing

Solid post. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It's surprising how much uneducated investors the crypto space has. You still see people invest in this shady and scammy coins. I was researching a way to do better investment analysis on the current cryptos. I found this amazing platform: https://www.coincheckup.com It's a great site that gives in depth research on every tradable cryto in the market.
