I didn't think BCC/BCH had a chance at first, but it turns out some developers figured out a way to implement lightning network on a non-segwit activated bitcoin blockchain (such as Bitcoin Cash) so BCC/BCH might have a chance after all, especially if it implements lightning network before BTC does.

Seriously though the tech looks amazing (I'm afraid to say better than eth imho, even though I'm mainly invested in eth), you can earn antcoins by holding antshares, apparently it's quantum computing 'safe', has a genius type like Vitalik running the show and the partnerships that Crypt0 mentioned in this clip. Looks like an opportunity similar to Eth at $9 to me (when I invested in ETH pre DAO). I have a decent stake in them - the only coin besides Eth that makes up a notable percentage of my holdings.

History suggests BTC may very well lose its dominance. Think about the 'first out of the gait' companies when the internet was released into the public domain. Napster, AOL, Netscape, MySpace, CompServe, AltaVista, Yahoo, Delphi. How are they doing now? New companies exploit the research and development of their predecessors and build a better mouse trap with better marketing. Tech de rigueur. BTC has no special built-in immunity to these forces.
