My thoughts
- China want's to be a leader in Blockchain technology. A ban on bitcoin and exchanges will hinder this goal
- China has banned bitcoin multiple times yet bitcoin trading was resurrected
- Like the article said, the ban may be temporary due to the upcoming Communist Party Convention which is highly scripted and organised. I don't see any reason why exchanges can't get licenses to operate and gather additional information from their clients before allowing them to buy and trade cryptos
- The price of bitcoin can't be further be affected my China, regardless of the outcome. There can only be positive news coming out of China now.
