Corner
Social Media for Crypto
Find Your Corner
Corner seeks to be a new social media platform that helps users find information that is most relevant to their interests in crypto. It also acts as a content monetization network (CMN) for content creators and content curators through the use of a cryptocurrency: Squares.
What is Corner?
Corner is a social media platform for the cryptographic currency and blockchain community. Most of the ways the community currently interacts with one another is through sites like Twitter, private messaging services, and forums. These sites are great for the sharing of quick ideas or blurbs, but they make it very hard to express your views in a longer form. They also give you no way of storing the interesting articles and ideas you read about for later reference.
Corner solves that problem by allowing users to save content that they find interesting to their “Your Corner” page. It also gives them the ability to interact with a community of like-minded individuals, and network within the various niches of the crypto community.
The site has four corners, the Trader’s Corner, the Developer’s Corner, the Big Ideas Corner, and the Social Corner. Each corner will be color coded to alert a user as to what category the viewable content relates to. For instance, traders will be able to easily find investment and day trading articles, whereas developers might be searching for ways to solve their computer coding needs.
Users can follow and interact with one another on the site to spread ideas faster. Anyone who writes original content on the site (content creators) will be able to set a small fee for others to read it. This fee will be dictated in the site’s native currency: Squares. Readers of these articles can also act as curators for the content. If they post it to their corner and someone buys it, the curator will get a cut of the content creator’s fees.
In essence, Corner is a social media platform to help spread ideas to targeted niches in the crypto community and give those ideas monetary value.

What are Squares (SQR)?
Squares give value to the ideas that are shared on the site. The coin will serve multiple purposes, first and foremost acting as the native currency for the site. If a content creator wants to receive payments for their work, they will need to charge in squares.
Squares gives you more access to Corner's content, and allows you to use the site to its fullest extent. Furthermore, after the website's launch, a few other projects will be started to help give more value to Squares. While determined by funding, these aim to allow users of the site to use the square blockchain to verify authorship of content and have a passwordless login. More on that will be provided after the website is rolled out, so stay tuned!

Interesting. The website looks pretty nice. Steemit should get some good front-end developers to ensure that the site ends up looking nice and non technical (and better than reddit).
