I want to make a crypto friendly bank list. Add your experience please!!
Hi interwebs peeps
I'm trying to collect a list of major banks and figure out which ones are the most Bitcoin friendly. I have experience with a couple on a small scale but nothing on a large one. Does anyone who owns crypto company or transact large amounts of digital currency have any input?
I'll start:
BB&T - Never given me any problems
Well's Fargo - I don't trust them. Had bank account temporarily frozen
US Bank - While applying for an account they asked me about my bitcoin usage. I left.
Excited to see what you all have to add!
Local credit unions are the best way to go.
They have much cheaper fees, free atm use, and actually pay you interest on savings. They also keep your money and any profit made in your city, instead of shipping it off to whatever offshore tax haven USBank uses. Each time I have applied for a loan my credit union has been cheaper than Wells Fargo or USBank.
You can find a local credit union with this search engine: http://www.mycreditunion.gov/pages/mcu-map.aspx
