I wanted to redo my post with the correct screen shots so you could see the comparison between using the shapeshift app and using it within the Coinomi wallet. The fees are astronomical. The first photo is the shape-shift app and the second picture is shape-shift within the Coinomi wallet. Notice how the fees are the same. So I've ruled out it being a Coinomi issue.
And here is the same transaction for the same amount within the wallet. As you can see, this is a shape-shift issue
