Meaningful Blockchain Applications - The Disruptive future of the Economic Revolution.. Here's my top FIVE !

Meaningful BlockChain applications are the ones to look out for if you are tempted to speculate some of your hard earned steem outside of the safe zone of the steemit wallet. If you are a speculator & let's face it unless you have the time to become a full time trader or the resources (& still a fair amount of time to supervise it) to employ expensive bot traders, you are a speculator and you need to find coin investments that will stand the test of time, not just disappear overnight with your coin in it.

Research & Due Diligence

This is why I always recommend people conduct their own research before investing and not just follow tantalising price graph data. I am going to bypass Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, Dash & STEEM as they should probably all be in a speculators portfolio. However there are lower value coins which are prominent I think are long term beauties.

Rocky Road

Late June through to early July have seen billions (temporarily) wiped off coin prices as they adjust after a long price climb which saw serious investors reap big & heavy profits, laughing all their way to the bitcoin bank with nervous small investor's money in their pockets. No worries, everyone will learn (not to panic, hold on and then buy when the bottom price tanks out) & It will pick up again. You think these guys won't be reinvesting for the next push into the stratosphere? There will be plenty of new faces at the bitcoin trough and as awareness grows, more and more money will flow into the field. We are in the early days of a volatile and unsure market with ICO's raising lots of e-cash and coins sprouting up all over the place. At the time of writing, markets seem to be experiencing an encouraging bounce off the floor.. Did you invest yesterday

MY TOP Five

Let's forget current price swings for a moment (because pretty much everything tanked) and concentrate on the potential of various blockchain applications. Here are my top five interesting coins to watch out for based on their ability to survive into the future

Thanks for this helped me.

thanks dowha ! I'm glad you found it interesting. There are quite a few more interesting projects out there ! Siacoin is a great idea and one I think will become a major player. storjxcoin saw 1000%+ growth on bittrex recently.. the market for their services will mushroom over the next couple of years

Yes im into Sia too and Digibyte, Peerplays, Bat, Agoras, BTS mainly

peerplays is an interesting one.. anything with a dividend becomes much more interesting to a traditional stocks and shares investor. as the market matures, the portfolio interest will be for returns or dividend payout. these should be in the 5-10% range or coins just end up like a very volatile gold commodity and the scarcity / control of the flow through mining and hoarding, similar in some ways to coin mining / ico premines.

Very interesting and informative article. I like your s top FIVE and i'm also invested in few of them. will definitely do more research on FOLDING COIN and GRIDCOIN ticker # GRC very impressive stats you 've posted

Thanks @laveradesign FLDC & GridCoin are both really interesting projects. I'm sure as altcoins open up to the market and investors come in from all sides, I see can universities, scientific institutions, publishers etc, wanting to hold both of them as part of an ethical / vested interest portfolio. I can also see Universities start using them both as a serious research resource.. and that's just one angle !I think the biotech industry which has a lot of cash, will undoubtedly become interested in these valuable, easy to scale solutions too. Who knows, perhaps NASA, the Met Office and other large organisations might start to take an interest in the BOINC network with it's 500,000 active users !

Interesting. I had not heard of a couple of these. Interesting to not see Dash on your list. Any particular reason?

Hi @bruckdashel, thanks for the reply. the answer to your question is in the 2nd paragraph :)

Research & Due Diligence

...* I am going to bypass Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic, Dash & STEEM as they should probably all be in a speculators portfolio. However there are lower value coins which are prominent I think are long term beauties.*

this is what I get for my speed reading problem lol.

no worries.. I used to have perfect spelling & grammar. It slips as you get older, as do reading skills.. Like you, I also read at about 4-5 times talking speed so it's easy to miss things out.. I'm just glad that your question was adequately answered by the post and I hadn't forgotten about Dash !!

tell me about it! :-) It was my first and then I was lucky enough to get cards to mine ETH before they sold out.

sold out gfx card eh ! I remember Buzz lightyear selling out but you'd think someone can make gfx cards to supply the market .. buy shares in AMD !

worldwide sellout for going on 2 months now. All worthwhile AMD cards have been gone.

even better reason to buy AMD shares !! they have a very bright future and made an excellent decision to focus on multicore GFX to differentiate themselves from the monolithic (and let's face it, quite brilliant) Intel CPU's
XEONS rule and my i7 ain't too pokey, neither.. I knew a guy who was friends with the AMD people years ago (I mean like many moons) and they sussed out a long time ago that the niche for cudacore was coming up fast.. I'm not sure even they predicted mining .. they would have sought investment to upscale production..which I'm sure is a key priority right now!!

Good opinions. 🙋👆

thanks elmubareki ! glad you found it useful

Nice list, one or two I had dismissed that i may have a relook at.

hey Jordan, they're all worth a look at.. I will post a few more interesting projects from my dossier ;)

not dismissed, glossed over more like it, look forward to seeing what else you put up. I'm at the start of my crypto journey, peace

Thanks @jordanjay I'll be looking into a few more hidden gems this week

I got SiaCoin and Ripple... I'm definitely going to take a look at the others... I have quite a bit of golem GNT too... you may want to look at it..

SiaCoin and Ripple are worth keeping hold of.. Golem keeps coming up. I will take a look at GNT
