Google Keyword Trend Statistics for the Top 10 Cryptocurrencies by Market Cap

The bloodbath is over; hooray for Segwit! Bitcoin's scaling coffee debate appears to be headed toward a peaceful resolution and the markets are jumping for joy! Veritaseum enters the Top 10 today and we can see that interest has been reflected by Google searches and NEM has seen a sharp spike in both interest and market value as well.

Everything except Monero seems to be gaining traction. Litecoin hasn't seen as sharp of a spike as the other coins but it also didn't lose as much ground as many others during the correction. We'll see if these prices continue to climb but as long as things hold up for Bitcoin I see a bright future ahead!

Hodl on, happy people!

Great post.

But I think that, like it or not, the truth is that bitcoin is already an outdated technology. And I go further, I think that all cryptos that still rely on blockchain technology are already outdated, because nowadays we have post-blockchain cryptos like Iota with zero fees, instant transactions and enabled micropayments.

What do you mean by post-blockchain? I don't necessarily disagree; I mentioned in a previous post how I believe we'll come to distinguish coins with transactional value from ones with speculative. Bitcoin's a speculative asset that wants to be transactional. That was always the goal and insofar as it was the first successful cryptocurrency it'll remain our flagship, at least until the flippening, but eventually it will be viewed as a novelty like Dogecoin.

You have a new follower...I'm going out on a limb to say by February next year...DASH will have a secure spot in the top five ;)

Thanks! Dash has seen the top five before and their growth this year has been ridiculous; I'd say it's entirely possible for them to crack it again. They'll take off once Evolution hits; we'll just have to see if anything happens to jump harder!

So you know what I'm talking about then ;)

Only thing I see jumping harder might be Golem. See how that goes post-Brass.

Potentially; there seems to be a lot of competition in decentralized computing but Golem does seem to be at the forefront. Antshares and NEM are two I've got my eyes on for the next year or so.

I have a strong liking for NEO too.
