I can't believe even you are falling for this @dana-edwards.
Did you listen to that video at The Future of Bitcoin? Wright spews nonsense at such a high rate its hard to keep up with the face palming.
Just one example: "every network with a distance of 3+ can always be sybilled" this is utter nonsense. Sybil has nothing to do with network topology and everything to do with cost of acquiring influence / voting power in the decision process.
He also claims that Bitcoin is a turing machine modelled on Wolfram's 110 rule. Wolfram 110 rule's only claim to fame is that of creating a mind boggling among of chaos out of a very simple rule, to a point where you can't run it beyond a few thousand iterations due to the size of the state space becoming exponentially big. This is one of the least practical Turing machine known, completely unusable for actual computing. If Bitcoin was based on that, it would have to halt after a few thousand blocks due to memory overflow of all the mining nodes.
A last one for the giggles: CSW claims Bitcoin script was hosting self-replicating life forms before the evil Core killed these poor innocent life forms by removing some opcodes. This is pure and simple science fiction. You'd have to be extremely gullible and naive to believe something like that.
Wright is just throwing around buzz word to dazzle his mostly non-technical and non computer-science educated audience.
