I'm honestly not sure what to make of this. It obviously worked out for the guy they arrested, but will this definition benefit bitcoin or hurt it? And what will be its effects of Steem?

First of all a great thanx to the judge for keeping me out of jail. An upvote for that.
Then, as soon as the people transact #bitcoin as if it was a currency, it doesn't really matter the legal framework under which it operates in the legacy legislation.
