And Charlie just announced that they will add steem.

Jaxx is about to add Steem?

Damn, that would be good news for Steem! :-)

You should check top trending post.

ah ha, yes...

https://steemit.com/steem/@charlieshrem/steem-token-will-be-added-to-jaxx-wallet-and-other-fiat-integrations

awesome news indeed. now let's just hope Jaxx gets their shit together...

They will. Everything in this area is still new and fresh. Look at steemit and steem. A lot of work waiting.

Exodus has way to loo much fees. It is totally incredible!!

Is it possibly obfuscation?

Yes, I think it's a feature, not a bug :)

It's kind of what I was thinking. Usually it provides an extra layer of safety so that your transactions are less traceable. I haven't used Jaxx in a while, but I don't recall it even being an option back when I used it. I actually might start using it again if it is tumbling automatically. That is one of the biggest reasons I have been supporting Stratis for so long. TumbleBit is a huge asset for anonymous transactions.

don't really know what you mean.

whatever the case, it's unacceptable.

Obfuscation is where they disguise your transactions by sending smaller amounts through third party wallets to make it look more "hidden."

if that's the case, it would be professional that they inform the user this is what is happening so as to not leave them wondering. and that was for the first round of transactions.

when I'm trying to send 10, 5, 3 ETH and they only send 0.63 - again and again - that's not obfuscation, that's just plain malfunction.

Usually you would have to enable something like obfuscation, but honestly I haven't used Jaxx in so long I have no idea. It was just a thought.

I did a post earlier about the dangers of closed source wallets. It is so sad that the "nicest + cleanest" wallet apps are closed source.

Don't use jaxx.

Did you contact Jaxx tech support?

The main issue that I have with Exodus is that it does not allow to adjust the Tx fees. Beside this point, it is very good

I did send them a message, no reply yet. They have been quick when I've sent inquiries in the past, though regardless of how well their customer support might be, it doesn't make up for such poor performance of the product.

I use Exodus. It really is very good. Simple and stable. I recommend it.

Good to know about these kinda stuffs. And, yes, we have to move to a cold-storage hardware wallet. @rok-sivante

I recently got out of the Jaxx wallet. The trouble I had was money locked in an address because the wallet would not recognize it as available funds. Funds with 40 confirmations on the blockchain! I've moved to alternative opensource wallets that give me full control of my funds.

I've experienced similar issues...

yeah i only use Jaxx for the Ethereum classic (and the possibility of Z-Cash). what are some other good wallets for Ethereum Classic?

don't know. never touched ETC except for one trade when it first launched and made 3x on it.

Good thing I made a quick scan on new posts tab and had a glanced on this. I was about to transfer my litecoins to Jaxx but I cancelled it.
Thanks for this info and review!

your welcome. glad to have offered it at the right time so as to save you some headache. I do recommend Exodus instead...

Yeah, reviewing on Exodus. Do you have any suggestions on paperwallet a good cold storage?

can't honestly say I've done much research into that...

Same thing happened to me, but it all made it so I figured I wouldn't complain. Companies on the cutting edge like all block chain companies are will have things to work out. The worst thing that happened to me with them was trying to shapeshift golem and gnosis that I bought. The wallet wouldn't take gas from my ether to pay for the shapeshift. They told me I had to manually send ether to the golem and gnosis wallet so there was gas to shapeshift it. And I just thought that was a joke. I don't know how much ether I wasted in the end. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt even in that case, believing that since they were at the time the newest addition to the jaxx wallet that they were still working out kinks. I haven't tried shapeshifting since though. But thanks for the warning. I guess I will move my btc to somewhere safer. I will look at the 2 wallet you suggested. Thanks for posting. Sorry for the long response! Following now!

It was probably about a month ago I started having issues, as it's only gotten worse. I don't even think the ShapeShift component is working at all - whereby Exodus' exchange is super smooth and easy.

totally done with Jaxx. no excuses for such incompetence.

I will check out Exodus. Thank you sir

The fees of Exodus are incredible high!

Thanks so much, just heard about it today, but haven't downloaded yet, Whew
You da man
Steem On !
Voted and following :-)

Thanks for the heads up. Sounds sketchy.

f&cking ridiculous, mate. I dunno what happened. they used to be legit. now just shit.

Probably not intentional. This is all still new, maybe just some bugs.

of course not intentional. though Jaxx isn't new. was working fine for me for months - the reason I was recommending it. then the last month or more, they started going downhill.

I love Exodus, hopefully they will add even more support for altcoins later.

Thanks good call!

Jaxx has been touted to be the best wallet with the largest variety of coins and its working with Shapeshift to make sure that you can go between currencies.

doesn't matter what it's being touted as if it works like shit. :-/

Thanks for the suggestion to use Exodus - I've never had a problem with Jaxx, but I'd also prefer not to have something go wrong.

Trezor = perfect 👌
Absolutely love mine.

i need some info on Kraken, i have read about huge lag times in both buying and selling and converting coin to cash any thoughts.

I use Kraken because, to my knowledge, it's the only - or most professional - exchange which I can use to convert into fiat and withdraw into a Canadian bank account...

can't say I'm a fan of the UI. if Coinbase still had withdrawal capacities available for Canadians, I'd probably be using it instead, as the interface looks much slicker and simpler. first time I used it, withdrawal took pretty long, a couple weeks. last time wasn't too bad. currently waiting on one for a couple weeks now, isn't exactly pleasing but is what it is until a find a better option...

ONE OF MY PRIMARY CONCERNS IS THE BUY/ AND SELL, LAGS , WHAT I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT. LETS SAY I BUY AT 80 AND IT TAKES 8 DAYS TO POST TO MY ACCOUNT IS THE TIME I HIT THE BUY BUTTON THE GUARANTEED PRICE OR IS IT WHEN MY ORDER SHOWING UP IN MY ACCOUNT AND SAME WITH SELL IF I BUY FOR 80 AND THE MONEY HAS LEFT MY ACCOUNT (BUT THE COIN DOESNT SHOW IN MY ACCOUNT) AND IT SKYROCKETS TO 500.00 AND I SELL THAT SAME DAY HOW WILL THAT WORK?

tip: take off the cap lock when you write.

totally lost my attention second sentence in. takes to much effort to read with all caps. not joking.

not sure what you're talking about, but think it's a different exchange, not Jaxx.

sorry, dont have my glasses with me today.

I'm sketchy about it right now.....great if they're adding Steem....but my Cash balance is showing with zero tokens showing up after my last transaction.....sitting on the blockchain with 324 confirmations.....did a cache refresh etc. yada yada bing bang waiting on tech support. Not sure I'm liking it at all :(

Just a quick update......sent off emails to both Jaxx and blocktrades support and Jaxx is indeed having issues right now with chrome and android.....ugggggg Still looking at 0.00000000 tokens and a cash balance!
