Bitcoin surpassed $10,000, falls back and tries again. Japan does self-regulatory improvements, Atari to make it's onw crypto, and people still doesn't get why Bitcoin is volatile.

    Totally agree on your post. When BTC is falling it is crashing and will die and when it goes up it is a bubble and volatile. I suspect that this misinformation will go on till they are forced to use it because BTC is build in their browser and the public transport runs on the BTC network.

    Let them lie, deny and write bullshit. Every time BTC shows that they are wrong a new bunch of people will wake up and join us, its just a matter of time.

    And the nice thing is that we are in first and will profit huge by them coming in late...........

    Interesting isn't it? The people that run the countries and decide upon the formal education systems don't want people to learn how money really works...

      completely according to the publication, the "experts" in economics have no idea of bitcoin, they only know that it is volatile and they call it a pyramid scheme, this disinformation towards society is shameful

      While most of your post is correct I do have some thoughts about the response on the opinionthat bitcoin failed as a currency.
      I can understand this reasening. Bitcoin itself will become more like a digital gold asset but some of it siblings will for sure have future as currency.
      I cannot imagine muself purchasing something with BTC ( leaving ou the fact that a lot of my other coins were bought with BTC), but my kids will probably use some cryptos in their daily llife, when grown up!

      But it depends on how it evolves. Bitcoin or any other crypto is not something static. In the future, when 1 Bitcoin is worth 1 million USD..and the fees for using it are close to zero..people will use it. The catch is only that for it to reach 1 million..people must use it :) But as it grows and develops, fees become smaller. Or Bitcoin could become digital gold. Absolutely. That could happen to.

      Take Ethereum for instance. It has some utility all ready. You can use it to buy and invest in ICO's for instance. So it's always clever to hold ETH. Me personally I always make sure I have a reasonable amount of ETH..sometimes I spend ETH on ICO's or other currencies..but when I profit from those I put it back into ETH. And thats how a currency is alive, and not stagnant. Bitcoin however is stagnant at this point..but even if its bitcoin cash or core + lightning that brings bitcoin further, it must evolve to stay alive. It must be alive. Money needs to flow in and out of it. And I think it will. Even as a stable "gold".

              A Running List of Critical Lightning Network Defects solved by Bitcoin Cash
              After Andreas talk about hot wallets, it got me thinking about the list of terrible flaws in LN that are so incredibly glaring that bitcoin core community has completely ignored:

              It requires target lightning node to be up (if its down you can't connect)
In a large-scale LN implementation, the cheapest and fastest routing of LN payments is np-hard (among the most algorithmically inefficient problems in computer science)
Creates the possibility of a Man in the middle attack when the distance between nodes >= 3 (which is all useful cases essentially)
Requires hot wallet which is hackable to receive payments as opposed to BTC wallet which can be on a sheet of paper
You still have to open and close LN channel on the block which is 2 tx (on a very expensive blockchain)
Centralization of nodes/hubs that can be shut down by the government to disrupt the network.
