The cryptocurrency market is constantly changing and becoming synonymous with transparency. Block chain technology is slowly providing a world that has built-in checks and balances system. Anyone can see what a particular wallet contains and all the transactions associated with it. Is this what everyone wants though? I mean block chain technology is great and it solves a lot of real world problems that we as a society couldn’t solve before; but the world still needs privacy. The crypto world may not realize it yet, but the coins that provide some privacy in this transparent world will do very well in the near future.
Maturing Market/Users
As with any new technology, the more it is around the more familiar people will become with it. Think about cell phones, all we had to choose from when I was younger were sidekick and razor phones. Not a smartphone, a cell phone. We didn’t realize the camera quality was trash. We didn’t realize that care that there was any internet. We were just happy to not have to use a pay phone and excited about the new technology. But as time went on we started to see the need for new features, sleeker looks, and better plans. That’s exactly what will happen to the cryptocurrency market. Right now it is new and a lot of nee investors are fomo-ing at the mouth trying to make a quick buck. New investors haven’t thought about potential problems with the market, and how this new technology will affect society long term. Most new investors are still on the surface and aren’t thinking about how crypto will affect their privacy. Privacy coins will be the “new feature” that users will realize they need down the line. As more people become more knowledgeable about the crypto market they will start to realize how important privacy coins are, it’s just a matter of time.
People Want Privacy!!!
People will always want some form of privacy for their personal affairs, especially when it comes to money. Don’t believe me? Let’s take Instagram, one of the biggest social media sites right now. Instagram is a platform that’s sole purpose is to connect you with millions of people all over the world; but some people still set their account to private. At the end of the day I don’t believe anyone wants anything completely transparent. I feel as technology gets more advanced we as a society lose more privacy. Even in a blockchain infused world I still believe society will still operate with some form of privacy. I also believe that some of us will not want people to be able to track every transaction they’ve made. Privacy is a part of human existence, hence why we don’t all have all glass houses and doors on bathrooms.
I am all for change but I refuse to believe that this world can function in a completely transparent way without total chaos. Privacy is not going anywhere and as long as people value money there is always going to be a need to keep it from the prying eyes of others. This is just another reason why privacy coins will probably do very well as the cryptocurrency market gains visibility and acceptance.
