Usecase of IOTA / IOTAの使い道少し理解・・・？

While I was seeing the IOTA's price rise and its rank in crypto market cap list 4th after BitcoinCash, I wondered its usecase. When I read it is a token for IoT, I misunderstood its something my robo vacuum receives after cleaning neighbor's house ... as I wrote few days ago ;)

IOTAの価格がうなぎのぼりで市場規模がビットコインキャッシュに次いで4位にまでなっているのを見て、どんなユースケースがあるのだろうと考えています。最初IOTAについて聞いた時は「うちのロボット掃除機がお隣さん掃除してお金稼いで来るのかな」という想像をしていたというのは少し前に書いた通りです。

The reason behind the price rise was partnership with Microsoft for its IoT data marketplace. Data marketplace ... ? As I couldn't come up what would be traded at the marketplace, I read through some articles about the news. An article on Venture Beat "IOTA launches IoT data marketplace, envisions devices autonomously buying and trading information" helped me to have a better understanding.

IOTAの価格上昇の背景にはIoTのデータマーケットプレイスをMicrosoftとのパートナーシップで実験するよという報道があったのですが、データマーケットプレイスってなんだ？とこれまたイメージできませんでした。それで少し記事を読んでみて、Venture Beat で少しわかったようなわからないような。ユースケースについてふれた部分を引用します。

Smart city sensors, for example, could use environmental data collected via Samsung’s ARTIK sensors to drive IoT-based pollution alerts. And connected cars could perhaps tap data from Bosch, the world’s largest automotive part supplier, to get details on a part that appears to be malfunctioning.

スマートシティーセンサーの例として、サムソンのARTIKセンサーから得られた環境データをもとに大気汚染の警告を出す、ネットワークにつながった車はボッシュのデータを取得してこしょうの可能性のある部品の詳細を取得する・・・といった例が挙がっています。

For me still it's not 100% clear and seems the IOTA team looks for ideas/apps.

わかったようなわからないような。それも無理なくて、IOTAのチーム自体もアイデアやアプリを探しているようで、Venture Beatの記事には以下のような記述があります。

The IOTA team isn’t talking much about specific apps yet; it seems to want the IoT community to do the brainstorming there.

IoTコミュニティーのブレインストーミングに期待してるよ！てへ☆・・・ではないですが。

いずれにせよどんな用途が出てくるのか楽しみに見守りたいです。
